If you need help getting around the event, /nav
is your friend.
Presents Missing
It's five in the morning, and the parents of this little town have been woken up by their overeager children (who needs alarm clocks anyway?). Disaster strikes, however, when the residents all discover that beneath their Christmas trees is a lack of wrapped gifts! The presents are missing!
Journey up above to the sweet smelling cave entrance and discover the truth behind who, or what is responsible for the missing presents. Band together with your friends as you explore what remains of Santa's Workshop as you dive into the Christmas Dungeon!
The Castle
Ascend the stairs to the Castle, and prepare for a boss fight. Defeat its keeper to earn a reward. However, if fighting isn't your thing, you can always try the dropper on for size.
Activities List
- Christmas Tree Parkour - Get to the top of the tree and claim your snowflakes.
- Frosty the Snowman - Parkour up Frosty and earn some snowflakes.
- Snowball Arena - Fight your friends with snowballs in this Free-For-All arena. (Best results for this gamemode are with FoV set to 'Quake Pro')
- Workshop Maze - Head through the twisty maze for a reward. If you're up for a challenge, help a local elf recover Santa's list from the depths of the maze.
- Snow Maze - Make it to the end for your reward. Ball of string is optional. No minotaurs in this one, we promise. They don't like the cold.
- Castle Dropper - Fall into the water at the bottom without hitting any blocks to win.
- Ice Cave Dropper - Take the ski lift to this dropper, and make sure not to hit any blocks or you won't make it to the bottom.
- Helper Hunt - Gao is setting up an event, and needs his friends! Find him to get started on tracking them down.
- Christmas Dungeon - Enter the cave and track down the town's presents!
- Castle Miniboss - Defeat the keeper of the castle!
Vendors
Some friendly elves are here to sell some Christmas goodies. Or just give you puppy dog eyes until you buy something, your choice. Just remember these poor folks don't have an elf union.

As we're sure some of you remember, we ran a writing and art contest through the month of October. The polls are in, and we have some winners to present.
Congratulations to EvieAscendant for winning the writing competition, with _Gent taking a close second place. It's been vindicating to see such a variety of writing styles and formats in the list of submissions. The art competition was won by AdamteMC with his chilling illustration, aptly called 'I Buried Every Single One of Them Myself'.
The winning entries are linked below. Happy browsing, and thanks for participating.

Ladies, gents, and everything in between — welcome to another spooktacular serving from our Events team. Enjoy the sights of Gaipan during Halloween!
To experience our little brand of terror, visit the warp areas in your capital — and remember, try not to think about what goes bump in the night.
Midnight in Gaipan
"Something is afoot in the usually sleepy village of Gaipan. The Festival of Sun Li is normally a time for celebration, for it marks a time when the spirits meet the living.
This time, something has gone horribly wrong. The benevolent spirits are no where to be seen. In fact, no one is to be seen, the town is nearly deserted. Let us pray that you don't meet the same fate..."
The dead have risen from the earth. Put them back where they belong, before you join them. They say that familiar faces have been spotted amongst the walking dead. Just who could they mean by that?
Candy, meant to be enjoyed by those at the festival, has been dropped all over the village. Gather as much of it as you can — you never know what rewards await you.
Each capital city has a hub where you can teleport straight to the event.
Ghost Island
A seasonal quest returns this year.
When Watt's nephew goes missing on a deserted island, he enlists the player's help to find him. Tread carefully; unspeakable horrors happened here, and the spirits are restless. One more thing: try not to stare into the dark too long. The dark might stare back, and you'll find out what kind of thing goes bump in the night.
The Village Ghosts
This haunting quest is back for your enjoyment.
A simple delivery job looks easy enough, but not everything is as it seems...
Across The Bridge
An unseasonably large pumpkin has grown across the bridge of Gaipan. No doubt that dark and evil forces are at work. Investigate this massive gourd and discover its secrets.
Inside you will find Bwake's Maze of Horrors. Watch your sanity as you try to reach the end — ten candies await you if you do!
There's more to see in this area. The Great Pumpkin Hunt is exactly what it says on the tin. Seek out the hidden pumpkins, and gain a reward.
There are two achievements for completing the tasks in this area: Bwake's Maze of Horrors and The Great Pumpkin Hunt. Both offer 5 candy upon completion.
Cosmetics
Spooky cosmetics are available once again. The merchant will be more than happy to give them to you for a price, of course.

Recently, Discord rolled out a new feature to Community servers called Forum Channels! This new channel type is designed to allow discussions to coexist without people talking over each other and aid in nurturing more structured conversations.
With our Discord server being an essential AvatarMC platform, our Moderation Team took a look at how to best integrate Forum Channels into our server. We have decided that the #suggestions
and #bug-report
channels will benefit the most from the new feature.
Forum Channels are exactly what you image — a forum nested within a channel. We've set post guidelines and created a collection of tags to categorize everything. Each post will require that you create a title, enter a message, and select a tag. You can hit the bell icon to add posts to your channels list and receive notifications on new messages. Both channels includes a search to ensure that a topic has not already been posted.
Suggestions Channel
Use this channel to provide suggestions for AvatarMC. Add a "thumbs up" emoji to show your support for an idea.
The following tags have been created to help categorize posts in this channel:
- Gameplay: For suggestions relating to our Minecraft server such as bending or builds.
- Events: For suggestions on community events such as bending tournaments or writing competitions.
- Discord: For suggestions relating to the AvatarMC Discord.
- Server Store: For suggestions related to the offerings on the AvatarMC Server Store.
- Website: For requesting updates to AvatarMC.com.
- Server Improvements: For general suggestions relating to the improvement of AvatarMC.
Bug Report Channel
Use this channel to report bugs or issues found across AvatarMC platforms. If you believe that the bug is too sensitive for the public, please message a Moderator or Admin.
The following tags have been created to help categorize posts in this channel:
- Open: This is the default tag for all posts.
- Acknowledged by AMC: This tag can only be applied by AvatarMC Moderators and will be used when the appropriate AvatarMC team has received word of the issue.
- Closed: This tag can only be applied by AvatarMC Moderators and will be used when a report has been met with a resolution.

It’s Spooky Month, everyone! To celebrate, we’re holding a competition for the best AvatarMC or just Avatar spooky-themed artworks, poems and stories that you, the community, can put together!
There will be two competitions running simultaneously, with different prize pools and different entry requirements. The first will be the art competition, which you can submit any illustration to. All media are welcomed!
The second competition will be a writing competition, with a hard word limit of 2,000. But don’t feel pressured to brush up against the cap! You can submit anything that’s in text to the competition: poems, stories, non-fiction, anything that you can drum up.
There’ll be special prizes for the winners in each category, too. They are as follows:
- 1st place: 100,000 yuans and up to $5 of cosmetics from the AvatarMC shop
- 2nd place: 50,000 yuans
- 3rd place: 20,000 yuans
You can hand in your submissions by posting them to the #event-signup channel on our Discord server. This means that you'll be able to see other people's submissions rolling in and get eyes on your own work ahead of the submission deadline. Of course, if you don’t want your work to be made public, you can instead DM your submission to the organiser, KevinY3. Entries close on the 31st of October, on Halloween. Winners will be announced on the 7th of November. Again, I want to stress — everyone’s work will be looked at and provided with a written review.
Happy Halloween!
