Hey everyone! Yes, this is happening: we are actually sharing information on what we are doing. Amazing right?
Today we post the first of a new type of post: the Weekly SoonTM. It’s Weekly, and SoonTM, but most of all a weekly update on things that have been worked on on the server. So basically this is a change log with all things that we fix or implement but are too small to post an entire announcement about.
We will try to get these out every Friday for your entertainment and judgment. So you can see what we do, and perhaps get a little sneak peek while we’re at it. (New Fast Travel screenshot anyone? Just don’t tell Zuko!)
So without further ado, here’s the change log of this week:
Notable changes
Trees no longer grow when anything solid is around them
Add experimental monster arena near the FNC harbour. This is a work in progress.
You can now use /tea to see the amount of tea leaves you have.
Tool damage is further nerfed down and swords are now considered tools.
Give new players one move by default
Bugs fixed
Recipes for items such as TNT, stone sword, enchantment table and brewing stand are now properly disabled
Enchantment tables and brewing stands are now impossible to interact with
Fix resource pack making a round-trip every time, should be a lot more smooth now.
Fix issue with impersonating player skins and async I/O of NPCs
Fix players loosing their level/inventory on death in arenas
Fix focus not opening when only one move is available
Fix players not gaining a tea leaf when shift or right clicking the tea leaf in tea flower inventory
Fix music not automatically playing again after a song was played by staff
Fix music not directly automatically playing after changing worlds
Fix trees growing above saplings
Fix demo wands from spawn being upgradeable
Fix combat log not working due to a missing symlink

Hi everyone, as you may have noticed the server was closed for non-staff players the last few hours. We had to whitelist the server due to scheduled maintenance. Expect us to be fully open again within an hour of this being posted!
Unfortunately the maintenance requires us to disable pets until several weeks. Don't worry: we will let you know when you can enjoy your animal companion again! We will try to do this as fast as we can.
Participants will play as either assassins or escorters, focusing on completing the objectives for each team. Escorters will try to escort the Fire Lord into the Fire Nation Capital, while assassins try to murder the Fire Lord before he arrives.
Everyone who joins will receive a Tea Leaf which you can use to unlock or upgrade moves at the bending masters in the elemental capitals. The winning team will receive an extra Tea Leaf!
After the event you can find a Tea Bush in order to obtain a Tea Leaf every day in one of the cities.
The new release will be updated to the live server after the event!

A lot has happened in the past year, but after two failed concepts and a lot of other work done, we're finally able to say: bending system is almost done. But before we can roll it out, we need to make sure that everything is working right. That's why we are inviting YOU to come and make sure all the moves are working right, and are properly balanced.

The actual testing will probably take place early next week and may span several group sessions. Please make sure to mention your availability in your email.

Since the background changes update the pet shops have been broken due to an API change. Today, after a quick rewrite (as the old script was mostly hacked together), they're finally ready to be used again today. Additionally we've dropped the per element restriction on the pet types that had them so you're now able to buy any pet you want.
