On this day 20 years ago, Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered in the United States with a one-hour special featuring the first two episodes of the series: "The Boy in the Iceberg" and "The Avatar Returns."

We were introduced to siblings Sokka and Katara — who while fishing in the chilly waters near their home in the Southern Water Tribe — discover a young Air Nomad frozen in an iceberg with his flying bison named Appa. From here, we joined them on a journey that would save the world...

With AvatarMC celebrating its 10-year anniversary, we deeply appreciate the community that this show has brought together on our server, with amazing people forming friendships that have lasted over a decade.

Celebrating Cactus Juice Day on AvatarMC Direct Link

To celebrate the series that started it all and inspired us to create this Minecraft server, we at AvatarMC like to partake in a yearly tradition dubbed Cactus Juice Day.

U.S. audiences got their first glimpse of the Avatar universe at 7 p.m. EST. This was midnight UTC on February 22 which is why the server starts celebrating Cactus Juice Day at this time.

For exactly 24 hours, starting at midnight UTC on February 22, there is a chance that Cactus Juice will drop when breaking a cactus block. Only one item will drop, so you'll want to keep placing and breaking cactus if you're looking to hoard Sokka's favorite beverage. Cactus Juice will typically be a potion of Nausea III.

We could not conclude without mentioning yesterday's major announcement from Avatar Studios regarding the next installment to the Avatar universe!

After months of rumors and leaks, it was confirmed that an all-new animated series titled Avatar: Seven Havens is in the works from co-creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Two decades in, it has never been more exciting to be an Avatar fanatic.
