Fast Travel Update

There seems to be some confusion on the current state of fast travel and town outposts. I am here to clarify some things we ran into. Feel free to ask questions in the comments; I am more than glad to help you out.

First of all -- YES town outpost teleportation will be removed, probably within a few days. Town outpost teleportation was not intended to be available in the first place. We want the server to feel as close to the original show as possible. People can't teleport everywhere in the show, so you won't be able to do so on the server. This is also the reason why TPing to people was disabled.

However, we do understand that walking around the whole world for hours is not fun at all. So we have a canon friendly alternative. We wanted to give you guys a fun way of exploring our vast world without total boredom of walking for hours. A fast travel system has been implemented at the major cities in the form of hot air balloons. Each balloon can travel to a specific set of coordinates, so it may be necessary to ride more than one to get to where you’re going! These rides comes at a price, but again this is to make the feel of the server more immersive.

Town outposts teleportation was a place holder for this better, more immersive, and more true-to-the-show system. The current rollout of the fast travel is Phase 1. Stay tuned for many more updates to come! It will be fun to travel again without losing the feel of a vast world and a more true to the show feel.

I hope you guys understand where we are coming from and I know that it makes places seem a little further apart from each other. But remember — it took Aang and the gang a whole book to travel from south to north, so it isn't exactly turn right at the second glacier!
